Happy Earth Day
April 22nd, 2009 is Earth Day. As defined by wikipedia, “Earth Day, celebrated April 22, is a day designed to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth‘s environment.”
Here at Brush Masters, we take a progressive stance in regards to environmentally friendly habits. So, today we are going to list the ways in which we play a part in Earth Day.
1. Recycle paints
Any excess paint we accumulate is usually combined with other similar paints and donated to a local charity or auction.
2. Conserve fuel
We use technology to efficiently plan our daily driving trips. This is good from a financial standpoint as well as an environmental perspective. By reducing our fuel usage we reduce our dependence on oil and it’s byproducts as well as reduce our CO2 output.
3. Safety
We provide all employees with OSHA and agency approved face masks. We believe that acting in the best interests of our employees means looking out for their health. This is one way we do that.
4. Low VOC options available
According to the Environmental Protection Agency, “Volatile organic compounds (VOCs) are emitted as gases from certain solids or liquids.”
